Bringing cargo bikes to another level, The Ute model (short for utility) from Kona comes fully kitted out with an excellent Bosch Performance Line CX ebike motor and is designed for carry much more load and weight than a regular bike.

The Kona Electric UTE is equipped with a high-quality Shimano 9-speed drivetrain and Tektro hydraulic disc brakes. A pair of tough WTB rims and all-terrain tyres complement the package, making the UTE a truly versatile load-lugger.

I have ridden one of these, and I can say it is truly an excellent cargo ebike in every way. Need to pop to the shops? Leave the car at home and save on the hassle of parking. Electric cargo bikes are the future!

Excellent Electric Cargo Bike

Kona have a long heritage of producing tough mountain bikes and this experience shines through on the Kona Electric UTE. Cargo bikes are great, with e-assist they rise to another level altogether. The UTE can comfortably carry a couple of small children, or even a weeks worth of shopping. It is a truly practical form of everyday transport. The excellent and reliable Bosch Performance Line CX motor produces bags of torque when needed, and the 500Wh powerpack battery should give the rider a potential range of up to 80 miles. I have been fortunate enough to have a go on one of these, and I was thoroughly impressed with the handling and the e-assist. Definitely on of the best cargo ebikes currently available.
